Heating your Swimming Pool with a Heat Pump

We all know that heating a swimming pool using traditional heating methods is very expensive - at least, it used to be, but now there is a better way. The most energy-efficient way to heat your swimming pool is by using a Ground Source or External Air/Water Heat Pump.

If you are installing a swimming pool in a new house, Greentec use the same Ground Source Heat Pump that has been installed to heat your house and hot water, to heat the pool 365 days a year. We can save you up to 80% of the running costs for your pool.

If you have an existing pool and heating system, we can retrofit an External Air/Water Heat Pump - no ground loops, no mess. These units operate down to temperatures of -10ºC, so unless we have a historically cold winter, the Heat Pump will work all year round. Why not use it to heat your house, hot water (new tank required) and swimming pool - we can then use your existing heating system as back-up on the coldest days of the year. Whichever way you choose, a Heat Pump will reduce your running costs by over 50%.

If you are installing an Indoor Swimming Pool you must have an Air Ventilation System

Greentec Systems spent a great deal of time sourcing a company that supplies high quality ventilation systems for in-door swimming pools. After several successful projects, we are pleased to partner with the specialist company Recotherm Ltd.

Recotherm Ltd was established in 1985 and was created with a dedication to the idea of providing energy-efficient environmental control systems for all sizes of indoor swimming pools, from small private pools to large leisure water complexes.

Similar to Greentec, their approach, has always been to provide a custom design and build package, combining the most advanced techniques in their industry. In partnership, we have developed our own enhancements to offer greater heat recovery and energy-efficiency. In summary, Recotherm Ltd are leaders in their field. They are situated at the higher end of the market; this brings with it greater reliability and a robust warranty, coupled with a continued policy of design and engineering development. Recotherm endeavour to provide for reliable operation with ease of maintenance.

If you are building a house with a swimming pool then a Heat Pump WILL pay for itself in TWO YEARS!
