The Greentec Air Conditioning system has been developed to work with the coolant in the ground created by the Heat Pump (must have bore holes) - so the coolant is free.  There are no ongoing running or maintenance costs associated and no energy is used to create coolant for the Air Conditioning. This makes it a truly green, environmentally-friendly Air Conditioning system. We distribute the coolant by using the same ducts installed for the Heat Recovery System. However, the ducts are oversized and more robust to handle the increased air flow when the AC is working.  This is totally automated and controlled by the Greentec Control System. One thermostat controls both the heating and cooling - simple.

 

Each room has its own fan, filter and cooling coil. The running cost for Greentec's Passive Air Conditioning is approximately 1p per hour. Please note - we need to be involved early in projects to plan the exact location of the equipment.
